East Asia is a good market for Iranian carpets

Fereshteh Dastpak added: “Despite the sanctions, exporters export their carpets in various ways, and we can achieve very good results in China, Russia, the A-3 Union and other countries.”
Referring to the visit of about 22 ambassadors from Australia, Chile, South Korea and other countries to the Iranian carpet exhibition, he added: “All these ambassadors announced their readiness to develop economic relations with their country in various fields, including carpets, and we can do this.” Countries have joint exhibitions.
The head of the National Carpet Center of Iran, referring to the announcement of the readiness of two large Chinese companies to develop cooperation with Iran last year, said: “Our capacities in this field are not ready yet.” We need to work on branding so that we can compete with other major countries in the world.
He considered the discussion of branding and identification of Iranian carpets as one of the priorities of the National Carpet Center of Iran and said about welcoming other countries, including China, to the carpet exhibition: “We are looking to have a joint table between Iran and China in the National Carpet Center of Iran because China is a huge market for Iran, and China’s wealthy population is interested in Iranian handmade carpets.
Pak-e-Pak also considered the domestic sales of carpets to be very favorable, but postponed the presentation of statistics in this regard until after the end of the exhibition.
The head of the National Carpet Center of Iran, referring to the presence of 850 booths in this year’s exhibition, continued: “This shows the trust and hope of producers and people in this field, and in recent days, sales have exceeded our expectations.”
