The deputy of handicrafts of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kerman province said: the women artists of Shahdad district are reviving the aqueducts of this province by producing handicrafts.

Kazem Hosseinzadeh, pointing out that the Shahdad section has 1,000 individual handicraft workshops, added: During a recent visit to handicraft workshops, more than a thousand artists are engaged in producing handicrafts in these workshops.

The Deputy of Handicrafts of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kerman Province stated: The increase in the price of raw materials and the lack of up-to-date information of handicraft artists in introducing and selling handicrafts is one of the most important problems of Shahdad artists. They can be supported.

Hosseinzadeh stated: This support plan includes issuing production licenses, providing nomadic and rural insurance services and home business facilities, as well as participating in national and international exhibitions.

He stated that Shahdad is one of the main destinations for incoming tourists to Kerman province, adding: Considering this issue, the production and sale of handicrafts causes the development and prosperity of different villages in this area such as Hojjatabad, Ebrahimabad, Malekabad, Shafiabad and river Has been.

The Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts further referred to the launch of the Gojino NGO by women handicraft artists in the Shahdad district and said: We weave, we make, we plant and we protect they produce handicrafts and spend 15% of the proceeds from the sale of handicrafts on the rehabilitation of canals.

Hosseinzadeh pointed out that there are 150 women members of this organization and are active in the fields of mat weaving, cis weaving and pete embroidery, noting that so far 5 aqueducts have been dredged and rehabilitated by this organization.
