Tourism does not grow without handicrafts
The head of the Iranian Handicrafts Organization stated:
With the merger, the importance of handicrafts in the tourism sector will become clearer than before.
Hossein Rezakhah pointed out:
In the past, the management and planning organization did not look at the handicrafts organization under the supervision of the Ministry
of Industries and Mines, Arts and Culture, and did not consider any issues.
Therefore, the eighth government’s proposal was to handicrafts Culture and tourism,
which was raised and approved in the first High Administrative Council in 2006.
Believing that nothing had happened with the merger of handicrafts and tourism organizations, he said:
The handicrafts organization has been separated from the Ministry of Industries and Mines and affiliated to the Cultural Heritage
and Tourism Organization, so nothing special has happened.
The head of the Handicrafts Organization of Iran stated that tourism would not grow without handicrafts, adding:
Tourism is important because they have no exports.
He said:
If handicrafts want to have their own organization, cultural heritage and tourism is the best part, in which case government spending will be reduced,
and this was a logical way. Referring to the position of handicrafts in the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization, Rezakhah said:
Handicrafts are under the direct supervision of the Vice President, who, in addition to promoting provincial handicrafts organizations,
has also promoted his position in organizations.
