The director of Jihad-e-Keshavarzi of Malayer city said:
in order to improve the quality of grapes produced in the city and to prevent late spring frosts,
the project of setting up vineyards in this city was started.
Gholamhossein Taghavi added:
Due to the occurrence of late spring frosts in most years in the orchards of the city and in order to improve the quality of grapes produced in Malayer
during 1394 using national credits with low interest rates and 5-year repayment and 13 million per hectare. 500 thousand Tomans,
about 15 hectares of vineyards in this city changed from a creeping and traditional form to a standing form.
He stated:
This year, the required bank credit has been provided for setting up another 6.5 hectares of vineyards in this city.
Taghavi continued:
Applicants who continue to use the benefits of standing or scaffolding orchards in grapes can prevent and reduce the damage
caused by late spring frosts by improving the quality of the product,
adequate lighting of the clusters and reducing the contamination of the product with surface blight.
Regarding late spring frosts, the director of Malayer Jihad-e-Agriculture said:
Unfortunately, every year there is a lot of damage to grape growers in this city,
because the occurrence of late spring frosts causes significant damage to creepy crop products and usually less frost damage to standing vineyards.
