The flourishing of 5000 years old magical art in Kermanshah , Types of Iranian handicrafts, handicrafts, introduction of handicrafts, types of handicrafts

It is one of the ancient and original arts of Iranians who use water, soil and fire to create it. The oldest specimens ever discovered in Iran are glazed enamel bricks from the Achaemenid period, which have been kept in the Louvre Museum in Paris for many years.

The creation of an enameled pottery is the result of a combination of the arts of pottery and enameling, both of which have a history of thousands of years in Iran and have now adorned many Iranian homes.

Although everyone knows his birthplace as Hamedan and the Lalejinis have become famous for creating pottery enamel, but the master artists of this wonderful art have been working in Kermanshah for many years and creating eye-catching works, even a little bit from the Lalejinis. To overtake.

One of the women artists of Kermanshah in the field of pottery enamel (glazed pottery) says in this regard: Once upon a time, the enamel of Lalejinis was the first word, but in recent years, the creativity of Kermanshahi artists has caused Hamedanis and Lalejinis themselves to be customers of enamel. Be our pottery.

Shahpar Raisian goes on to say about how to create a glazed pottery and the difficulties of his work: Although the historical monuments discovered in the province show that the people of Kermanshah have a rich history in pottery, but we have not had pottery for many years and therefore raw pottery without We buy the paint from Hamedan and then sand them so that the surface of the pottery is completely smooth.

After this, we design the patterns on the pottery by hand and emboss symmetrical and beautiful shapes on the pottery. Of course, due to the fact that this work is very time consuming, today some artists use ready-made stamps to carve patterns on pottery.

After drawing the roles, we come to an important part of the job, which is to highlight the lines of the roles with black ink. This is the most important and delicate stage of pottery enamel work, which requires great care so that not the slightest mistake is made.

After highlighting the lines of the roles with black pen, we enter the stage of filling the inside of the roles with colored glazes, which is the most difficult stage of the work. We usually have 18 different colors that glazes with these colors are used to fill the inside of the roles.

Then the sprinkling of the pottery is done, in which at this stage, a kind of material is sprayed on the back of the pottery on which we have painted it, making the pottery waterproof and washable.

The final step is to put the pottery in the kiln. We put the pottery in the kiln, which, depending on the type of pottery, we put them in the kiln with a temperature between 800 and 910 degrees for eight hours.

This lady artist from Kermanshah further talks about the quality of the products produced by the enamel artists of Kermanshah and continues: Our products are of such a quality that we can leave the enamel of Hamedan pottery.

He says: part of the productions of Kermanshahi enamel artists go to Lalejin, part is sold inside the province and an important part goes to Iraq.

Unfortunately, the Kermanshahi artists do not make much profit from these exports, because the middlemen and brokers are in the middle, and they buy our products with a small profit, and they make a lot of money by exporting them to Iraq.

Raisian goes on to point out the problems of his work days and says: Since Corona came, our sales have dropped by 90%, because with these corona conditions and the economic problems caused by it, people no longer have a priority to buy handicrafts.

He adds: Before Corona, even merchants from Turkey used to come and buy from us, but now not only they do not come, but also those who are interested in pottery enamel in the province do not buy anymore.

At the end of her speech, this tasteful lady artist from Kermanshah asks the officials to have more air of craftsmen artists so that they can survive in these coronary days when the life of some handicrafts in the province is endangered.
