The boom in the Woodturning workshop is thirsty for capital
About a year has passed since the start of the workshop, and despite repeated requests for training and expansion of the workshop, it is not possible to recruit and develop due to lack of capital to provide the machine, said Tawazi, director of the Woodturning workshop in Sarayan.
He pointed to the high cost of handicrafts, adding that he was currently working alone in the workshop.
These facilities have only been used to replace one device said Tawazi, who received 20 million from the Cultural Heritage Organization.
The director of the carpentry workshop in Sarayan continued: Wooden utensils, plates, bowls, spoons, catering services and other cooking utensils that can be made with wood are produced in this workshop.
He added: Walnut and pear wood are mostly used to produce these devices.
Advertising is done through cyberspace, and there are orders from other provinces, he said.
According to existing studies, Woodturning has been traditionally practiced in Sarayan for more than 300 years.
