Terminology in carpet weaving
People who are interested in this original Iranian art and would like to learn it should first of all look for the etymology of carpet weaving. Vocabulary is not only important in carpet weaving, but also in all arts and professions, and until these words are known and understood, the learning of the art and profession in question will not take place completely.
It is unknown at this time what date the words will have in the carpet weaving, and these terms have been passed down from generation to generation and from generation to generation. But what can be trusted is the use of these words by the past, which, with a little change, is now available to today’s carpet weavers. Weaving in carpet weaving is nothing separate from the history of carpet weaving art. Therefore, it seems that these terms have been used since the weaving of carpets and rugs began. Here are some other terms:
Knotting: When wool or silk creams are thrown around the rugs, it is usually called knotting. Knotting is one of the most important steps in carpet weaving.
Zare: From ancient times, as far back as the history of carpet weaving, the unit of Zare was used to measure carpets (words used in carpet weaving) in places and areas where carpets are among the Persian tribes. The language is woven. Each particle is considered to be equal to 104 cm, and in the cities of Kerman this value is one hundred and eight centimeters, and in the Turkish or Azeri cities one hundred and twelve centimeters is equivalent to one particle.
Fourth: A quarter of a quarter of a quarter is called a quarter. Charak is also considered a different language in Turkic and Turkic-speaking cities, so that in Farsi-speaking cities the equivalent of twenty-six centimeters is considered and in the cities of Tazari and Turkic-speaking it is equal to seven centimeters.
This goes back exactly to the history of carpet weaving and the history of carpet weaving and carpet weaving in Iran, and it has been measured in the same way. The scale or unit of measurement of the carpet is different from other weaves and textiles.
