Spring cultivation of chamomile in the suburbs of Marvdasht

The agriculture expert of Marvdasht suburban agricultural jihad center announced the cultivation of 4 hectares of Shirazi chamomile in the suburbs of this city.

Roya Polkhani, an agricultural expert at the Jihad Agricultural Center in the Marvdasht suburbs, said that chamomile is grown in autumn and spring: chamomile is grown in this area in April and will be harvested by the end of July.

Polkhani stated that Marvdasht city, with its favorable weather conditions, is prone to cultivation of various medicinal plants, including chamomile, and specified: This year, very suitable and desirable rains have provided a suitable ground for the cultivation of various medicinal plants.

The expert said: Since the demand for chamomile consumption in the market has increased, the production and supply of this medicinal plant with high quality and purity of flowers, can have a significant contribution in increasing employment and income generation of the agricultural sector of the city.
