Motamedian stated: This important reason also led to the construction of railways to use the capacity of handicrafts in the development of the province.
He continued: The memorandum concluded during the recent visit of the head of the country’s plan and budget organization to the province and planning to create 3,000 permanent and stable jobs in the field of handicrafts, is one of these valuable measures.
The governor of South Khorasan described the idea of creating 3,000 jobs in the field of handicrafts as a very good plan, which has been welcomed by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and is to be extended to other parts of the country, for example.
Motamedian reminded: Based on the orientations that were done last year and with the appropriate injection of credits, we achieved a good situation in the discussion of creating seasonal jobs in the field of roads and housing, etc . Therefore, this year, the plan is to take effective steps to create sustainable employment by using the capacity of handicrafts, solar panels, etc.
He said: Educated artists who have not been able to earn income from their art due to lack of sufficient capital or the market for selling and supplying raw materials, are the target community of this memorandum.
Motamedian said that the lack of proper packaging and branding of products is one of the problems in the field of handicrafts and said: paying attention to these two issues can be very effective in creating added value and better sales of handicrafts.
He called passing the necessary training courses a condition for the success of artists in this field and specified: it is necessary to use the capacity of the university and the General Directorate of Technical and Vocational Education of the province to achieve a better result in this field.
The governor of South Khorasan, pointing out that proper packaging plays an important role in attracting customers, considered the use of some handicraft products such as carpet weaving in the production of appropriate packages and using the power of applicant investors as ways to compensate for this shortcoming.
Motamedian continued: the province has a world rank in some products, but due to bulk sales and without their mark, there is no name of South Khorasan province.
Regarding the handicrafts market, he said: One of the needs in the field of handicrafts in the province is the lack of a suitable market. In order to solve this problem, permanent handicrafts markets were established in the cities of the province.
Motamedian added: All our efforts are to put parts of these markets into operation by the end of the year.
He also mentioned attending the exhibitions as an opportunity for handicraft artists and continued: “This year, the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of the province should plan to hold periodic exhibitions so that the artists of the province can attend and Take advantage of the capacity of exhibitions in different cities to sell their products.
The governor of South Khorasan stated: The province is ready to support the presence of handicraft artists to participate in exhibitions outside the province.
Motamedian reminded: public benefit and earning a stable income is one of the most important goals of the province in the implementation of these projects.
In this meeting, the measures taken to achieve the goals of the Memorandum of Understanding concluded between the Program and Budget Organization, the Governorate of South Khorasan and the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts were discussed.
