Sending 42% of the country’s handmade carpets to Germany and the United States
During the first 11 months of this year, 402 million and 160 thousand dollars of handmade carpets were exported abroad,
42% of which were destined for Germany and the United States.
According to the public relations of Iran’s customs, during this period, 95 million and 645 thousand dollars of handmade carpets to Germany,
74 million and 550 thousand dollars to the United States, 36 million and 104 thousand dollars to Italy,
35 million and 790 thousand dollars to the United Arab Emirates And $ 26,150,000 were exported to Japan.
The total export of handmade carpets to the five countries in the first 11 months of this year was 268 million and 239 thousand dollars.
Exports of handmade carpets during the 11 months of this year compared to the same period last year decreased by 7.9 percent.
The total export of handicrafts in the first 11 months of this year reached 504 million and 180 thousand dollars,
which decreased by 0.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
During this period, 56 million and 220 thousand dollars of turquoise and precious stones,
33 million dollars of other handicrafts and 10 million and 660 thousand dollars of kilims and xylos were exported in the first 11 months of this year,
which compared to the same period last year. It increased by 7.40, 126 and 4.64 percent, respectively.
During this period, the export of inlays increased by 2.5 times compared to the same period of the previous year and reached one million
and 383 thousand dollars. During the same period, $ 717,185 of pen cloth was exported abroad,
which was a 10% increase compared to the same period last year.
