Sarvabad city ranks second in grape production
Ghaseminejad said: Due to the climate of the region, which is cold and tropical, the grape harvest will start on September 1 and will continue until October 11.
He stated that the area of vineyards in the city is 1,430 hectares and added: the average harvest of grapes per hectare is 7 tons, which in some areas of the city has reached 25 tons.
Grape harvest has been completed in the orchards of Oraman, Selin, Zalkeh and Darreh Nakhi areas of this city, which are located at an altitude of 850 meters above sea level and are tropical regions.
He stated that last year 10,000 tons of grapes were harvested in the orchards of this city, adding: it is predicted that more than 10 thousand tons of grapes will be harvested from the orchards of the city this year.
