Registration of Shahrekord Iranian handmade carpets in WIPO

Seyed Naeem Emami added: “Along with handmade carpets from 14 regions in Iran, it was done with the cooperation of carpet weaving organizations and the efforts of carpet weavers.”
He continued: “The officials and those in charge of carpet weaving in the province are pursuing the national registration of special maps and sounds for carpet weaving in areas such as Shahrekord, Borujen, Farrokhshahr, Saman, Shalmzar and Ardal.”
The Director General of Industry, Mining and Trade of Shahrekord added: “From now on, the province’s carpets have been registered in the world and the possible dangers of copying in the name of other regions have been preserved.
Emami said: “On average, 80,000 square meters of handmade carpets are produced annually in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, most of which are Yalmeh, Gabbeh Rizbaf, Bakhtiari carpets and Chaleshtari carpets.”
He added: “The use of beautiful colors using flower and plant extracts and natural raw materials, freshness and vibrancy of various designs and roles are the characteristics of the carpet of this province.”
According to Emami; The geographical mark of handmade carpets in Ilam, Songor and Keliai areas of Kermanshah, Kurdish of North Khorasan, Lorestan, Sardrood carpet, Turkmen Jirgalan and Bojnourd, Sistan and Baluchestan, Varamin, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Qashqai Fars, Gabbeh Fars and Ardakan, Qahistan and Maud Birjand are recorded. At the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), it was introduced to support member states of the Lisbon Treaty.
