INGREDIENTS :

  • Rice = 2 cups
  • Vicia faba = 100 grams
  • Minced meat = 250 grams
  • Fried onion = 4 tablespoons
  • Tomato paste = 3 tablespoons
  • Saffron, salt, pepper and turmeric = as needed

INSTRUCTION :

1. Soak Vicia faba in some boiling water and after 20 minutes, cook it in some boiling water so that it does not crush. Soak the rice and then pour 1 tablespoon of tomato paste in boiling water and mix well until the tomato paste dissolves in the water.

2. Then pour the rice in it and drain according to the type of rice (usually for rice, we take the rice mixture a little drier). Fry the minced meat with a little fried onion and add Vicia faba.

3. Add the tomato paste and mix well so that the Vicia faba is not crushed. After we feel the tomato paste is well fried, add the drained rice and mix well. Just don’t forget to set aside some plain rice for the bottom of the pot.

4. Pour a small amount of water, oil and saffron on the bottom of the pot and then put plain rice (or sliced ​​potatoes) and then add the mixed rice.

5. After the rice evaporates, pour the rest of the melted saffron over the rice and reduce the flame to let the rice cook.

Note: The use of paste and minced meat is optional and turmeric can be used instead of paste.
