Recipe for Ilam Babayari food in Iran

INGREDIENTS :
- Lentils (cleaned) = 2 cups
- Oil = 2 tablespoons
- Medium onion = 1 pcs
- Salt and pepper = 2 tbsp
- Tomato paste = as needed
INSTRUCTION :
First, soak the lentils overnight and discard the water. This will reduce the bloating of the lentils.
Then cook the lentils with a little water and oil (it is better if it is meat juice). You can prepare hot onions while cooking lentils.
Once the lentils are soft, add the hot onion, tomato paste and a pinch of salt and pepper and wait for it to set. Well the lens is ready and you can pull it in the container.
The method mentioned above is the easiest way to prepare lentils (Babayari), but in some parts of Iran, potatoes and meat are also used to cook lentils (Babayari).
Adding these ingredients to the lens makes it tastier, but preparing this type of lens is a bit more time consuming.
