The director of horticulture of the East Azerbaijan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization said:

Sadaleh Eskandari added:
Grapes have a higher percentage of sugar in this vine system and are widely used in processing and conversion industries.
He explained:
The quality of the product in standing vines is much better than the product that is on the soil and at risk of fungal rot.
Eskandari continued:
in standing vineyard, the yield per unit area increases from 14 tons to 40 tons.
The director of horticulture of the East Azerbaijan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization,
referring to the role of government facilities in implementing this change in vineyards, said:
Transforming traditional and dormant vineyards into standing gardens requires a lot of capital and government facilities, which we are pursuing.
While explaining the reason for gardeners’ interest in standing vineyards, Eskandari emphasized:
Standing gardens are less damaged in spring cold than ditch gardens, and accordingly, vine growers have shown more interest in this type of vineyard.
