Production of 1100 meters of Asadabad handwoven carpets in Iran
The head of the Asadabad Department of Industry, Mines and Trade announced the production of 1,100 meters of handwoven carpets by Asadabadi carpet weavers in this city.
Rahim Ghorbani at the bottom of this amount of hand-woven carpets has been produced by Farshbafan Cooperative, Supporters and Farshbafan, a client of Behzisti and the city’s relief committee.
He estimated the value of this amount of carpet produced at 3 billion and 300 million Rials and added: 2250 people in the form of Farshbafan Cooperative Company, supporter and client of the Relief and Welfare Committee have produced this amount of hand-woven carpet.
The victim stated that the total number of carpet weavers in the city is 5,000 and reminded that of this number, Asadabadi carpet weavers are 5% insured and last year three Asadabadi carpet weavers retired.
Referring to the existence of 2,000 active carpet weavers in the city, he noted: Last year, in addition to 1 billion and 500 million rials, facilities were paid to three carpet support operators operating in the city.
Ghorbani also referred to the payment of three billion rials in facilities to 60 independent carpet weavers in the city and said: At present, Asadabad city is in the third place in the discussion of carpet production in the province.
