Production forecast of 25,000 tons of grapes in Kermanshah
Shahriar Ghasemi stated that the area of vineyards in Kermanshah is 1200 hectares and said: out of this amount, 1100 hectares are fertile.
He described the main cultivars of the city’s vineyards as seedless red raisins, seedless white raisins, rubies, Fakhri and Asgari.
Ghasemi, pointing out that the average harvest of grapes per hectare is 22 tons, said: Last year, 23,000 tons of grapes were produced in Kermanshah.
He added: Grape harvest from the orchards of the city has started in early August and will continue until mid-September.
