The East Azerbaijan Jihad Agricultural Organization said: The production of 11,000 tons of sunflower seeds planted in 5,700 hectares of cultivated land is not far from expectation.

Saeed Soleimani added: Marand city will have the highest production with 90% of the sunflower cultivation area in the province.

Introducing other cities producing sunflower, he explained: Julfa, Shabestar and Ajab Shir are other cities producing sunflower seeds in East Azerbaijan.

‌The Director of Agriculture of East Azerbaijan Jihad Agricultural Organization, referring to the increase in the area of ​​sunflower cultivation in the province, reminded: The increase in sunflower yield can be related to the increase in the area under cultivation of 1200 hectares of this crop in the province.

Soleimani said since the harvest of sunflower seeds and emphasized: from mid-September, sunflower seeds can be harvested.
