Researchers at the Jihad-e-Daneshgahi Medicinal Plants Research Institute have further stated in their precautionary measures that the essential oil of the mint plant is a stimulant and causes allergic skin reactions.
Headache, bradycardia, muscle tremors and lack of coordination of movements have been observed due to the use of this plant.
The researchers said that mint essential oil should not be used in children under 50 years of age. It is also said about the amount and method of consumption of this plant: Drink 0.2-0-0.4 ml of mint essential oil three times a day, one and a half hours before a meal.
It is worth mentioning that this plant is used as a vegetable and spice for food and is spread in most parts of Iran, especially in the slopes of Alborz, north, northeast and some other places. The second stage is August 10 to October 6 and the third and last stage is harvest until December 6.
