Local food recipe of Halim Bolameh Golestan in Iran
Bolameh is a food similar to Halim that is cooked on the seventh day of a child’s birth and during a women’s festival in Golestan province in Iran. Only women of the family, neighbors and very close friends are invited to this celebration and they rejoice by presenting their gifts in unison with the audience.
INGREDIENTS :
- Half-grain rice = 2 cups
- Butter = as needed
- Sugar = 4 cups
- Almonds and pistachios = to decorate
INSTRUCTION :
1. Rice is soaked in water for one day.
2. Fry rice soaked in oil.
3. Fry the fried rice in water for about 8 hours until it is completely kneaded and the oil in the pot is completely absorbed.
4. After about 8 hours of boiling and absorbing the water in the rice, the unabsorbed oil is removed.
5. Mix the rice dough with some sugar so that the sugar is completely absorbed.
6. After the sugar has been absorbed, the bolameh is ready to eat.
