Iran’s premium carpet industry in the world
In an interview with RFE / RL, Ismail Chamani, Public Relations Officer of Eqtesad Radio, said that supporting national production, employment and Iranian capital, along with the need to develop employment, is at the top of the country’s plans. It is 50 million rials.
He continued: “The development of the carpet industry will not only boost the country’s exports and should be developed as the first art and the first industry of the country, and because it is ahead of all the people of the world, it is considered the ambassador of Iranian culture.”
The head of the National Union of Manufacturers and Related Speakers of Handmade Carpets called for the establishment of the National Carpet Organization of Iran to support weavers, producers and exporters of carpets and said: 20 main industries are related to carpets and each carpet that is woven has 50 times added value. He called for the organization of carpet weavers’ insurance in order to provide more suitable conditions for the supplementary insurance and retirement of weavers.
