Iran is not a competitor for Tabriz carpet in Iran in the world
On the sidelines of his visit to Tabriz University of Arts and Schools, Ghad Hijavi stated: The natural dyeing of Tabriz carpet wool and the art and technology used in it is such that it does not fade and scatter with the water of the same color, and this is the health of the colored materials of Tabriz carpet. It clearly shows the chemical colors.
He added: “The variety of colors of Tabriz carpet is another feature that I saw in the fiber and dyeing laboratory of Tabriz University of Arts.”
Hijavi said: “Carpet weaving using Quranic verses in Tabriz Carpet School was another significant point that there is no other similar work of art anywhere in the world.”
He reminded that Tabriz Carpet School is the only carpet faculty in the world and added: In some countries, there is only one carpet course as a subject group.
He added: “Afghanistan and Istanbul, Turkey are the countries that do carpet weaving, but they do not have the diversity, quality and position of Iranian carpets in any way.”
The head of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Handicrafts Council also expressed optimism that the carpet weaving of Tabriz will continue in a traditional way. Modernity is very important in Islamic arts, including carpets, and the Tabriz Carpet School can play this role well.
He pointed out that the World Handicrafts Council organizes and organizes various handicraft exhibitions around the world to market handicrafts, he said: Tabriz as the capital of the world carpet weaving should be more active in communicating in the development of the field Increase carpet hand weaving.
Hejavi added: Tabriz, as a model city for tourism in 2018, Islamic countries can increase their relations with the whole region of Asia and the Pacific.
The seventh session of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Handicrafts Council was held on Wednesday in Tabriz with the participation of members of the World Handicrafts Council behind closed doors and without the presence of journalists.
In addition to members of the World Handicrafts Council, members of the Asia-Pacific Handicrafts Council from Iran, Kuwait, Australia, Malaysia, Oman, Kyrgyzstan and India are also attending the seventh Asia-Pacific Regional Summit in Tabriz.
On the first day of the meeting, an internal meeting of the council will be held, and on the second day (Thursday), a conference on handicrafts, peace and creativity will be held.
Participants in the Asia-Pacific Summit will visit the Mozaffariyeh Carpet Bazaar, Islamic Art University, Tabriz Carpet Weaving Workshops and Kandovan Village during their four-day stay in Tabriz.
The Asia-Pacific Region Summit of the World Handicrafts Council will be held in Iran for the first time, and this hosting is one of the works to introduce the city of Tabriz as a global city of carpets.
