He reminded that Tabriz Carpet School is the only carpet faculty in the world and added: In some countries, there is only one carpet course as a subject group.
He added: “Afghanistan and Istanbul, Turkey are the countries that do carpet weaving, but they do not have the diversity, quality and position of Iranian carpets in any way.”
The head of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Handicrafts Council also expressed optimism that the carpet weaving of Tabriz will continue in a traditional way. Modernity is very important in Islamic arts, including carpets, and the Tabriz Carpet School can play this role well.
He pointed out that the World Handicrafts Council organizes and organizes various handicraft exhibitions around the world to market handicrafts, he said: Tabriz as the capital of the world carpet weaving should be more active in communicating in the development of the field Increase carpet hand weaving.
Hejavi added: Tabriz, as a model city for tourism in 2018, Islamic countries can increase their relations with the whole region of Asia and the Pacific.
The seventh session of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Handicrafts Council was held on Wednesday in Tabriz with the participation of members of the World Handicrafts Council behind closed doors and without the presence of journalists.
In addition to members of the World Handicrafts Council, members of the Asia-Pacific Handicrafts Council from Iran, Kuwait, Australia, Malaysia, Oman, Kyrgyzstan and India are also attending the seventh Asia-Pacific Regional Summit in Tabriz.
