Introducing the handicrafts of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province
On the eve of the week of handicrafts and traditional arts, 13 works of handicrafts of artists of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province were exhibited in the entrance window of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization in Tehran.
Director General of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province said:
These works have been exhibited with the aim of introducing and familiarizing the public with artifacts, handicrafts and traditional arts, and the rich local and indigenous culture of this province.
According to Bahman Asgari, these items include felt products (women’s bags, watch bags, money bags and bag sets), metal volumes (old man Abyar, shepherd and sheep, spearman, etc.) and Simorgh relief embossed pottery.
It was designed and produced by Fatemeh Ghaffari, Majid Jamali, Homayoun Heydari and Ayub Zamani, one of the province’s craftsmen.
June 10 is called World Handicrafts Day and June 20-26 is called Week of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts.
