He stated that in Kermanshah province, the total area of medicinal plants in the province is 3,200 hectares and predicted that 6,400 tons of medicinal plants would be harvested from this area.
He added: Cultivation of medicinal plants, in addition to generating economic income, creates employment; It also provides raw materials for medicinal plants.
Safavi, pointing out that the Office of Arbitration Plants has been established in the Jihad Agricultural Organization of Kermanshah Province, added: This office has been established to guide and encourage farmers and those interested in growing medicinal plants.
He said: Jihad Agriculture Organization supports the development of medicinal plants by paying low-interest facilities.
According to the General Directorate of Natural Resources, this year, with the participation of the people, 353 hectares of natural resources in Kermanshah province have been planted with medicinal plants.
Kermanshah natural forests are about 528,900 hectares, ie about 5.21% of the total area of the province and 4% of the total forests of the country.
The per capita natural forest in Kermanshah is 26 hundred hectares, in the country it is 2 tenths of a hectare and in the world it is 6 to 8 tenths of a hectare, which is higher than the national norm and lower than the global norm of the province.
