Grape harvest from 3300 hectares of Kashmir vineyard
Seyyed Abolghasem Mousavi stated: Grape harvest starts from 3,300 hectares in early August and continues until mid-September.
He pointed out that last year the average harvest per hectare was 25 tons of grapes, he continued: Due to the frost, the amount of grapes harvest has decreased so that the average harvest has decreased by 4 tons per hectare to 21 tons.
The director of Kashmar Agricultural Jihad, referring to the 21 grape production varieties in this city, reminded: 95% of the grapes produced in Kashmar are Askari and Peykami.
Babian added that 30% of Kashmir grapes are eaten fresh and 70% of them are turned into raisins: It is predicted that 70,000 tons of grapes will be harvested from Kashmir vineyards this year.
Mousavi, pointing out that Kashmir raisins are produced and marketed in two types of green and golden, added: out of about 11 thousand tons of raisins produced in Kashmir, half of them are green for domestic consumption and the other half are golden for export to Produced abroad.
Emphasizing that the lack of stability in the market of agricultural products is one of the major and serious challenges facing agricultural activists, he said: In many agricultural products, low prices of products cause losses to farmers.
The director of Kashmar Agricultural Jihad, pointing out that currently the farmer costs about 700 Tomans to produce one kilo of grapes, said: the selling price of grapes in the market is 800 to one thousand Tomans and the farmer does not earn much profit.
Mousavi, emphasizing that so far no instructions and circulars have been issued on the guaranteed and agreed purchase of raisins, said: We hope to see the agreed purchase of raisins by the Rural Cooperative Organization with the necessary funding.
