Mohammad Salari added: “The weaving of this carpet dates back to the late Qajar period and the engraving of this carpet is modeled on the flowery fabrics of that period.”

Hossein Bahadori added: “This kind of coloring is rooted in the customs of the people of Esfandeh, and according to the people of this region, the legendary design of Gol-e-Sorkh carpet is associated with the soul and spirit of the people of this land because ‌ In the past, Based on their ability, they were measured in carpet weaving or using beautiful and best-selling designs.
He said that the reason for naming Gol-e-Sorkh-e-Esfandeh carpet was the presence of rose-shaped bouquets. Golrokh, who was brought by merchants for Khan of this region (Mohammad Baqir Khan), was adapted and because Khan liked the design of this cloth, he ordered the weavers of this region to weave it.
Bahadori added: “About 200 years ago, this project was woven in Esfandeh area and large margins in this carpet were known as Hashemi and Laleh Abbasi and Mounoogh. The margins of Hashemi were brought to this area by a person of the same name who was a carpet merchant in Tehran.”
The carpet expert said that the red carpet is woven with these three edges, adding that the embossed border of this design is in the form of two roses that are symmetrically placed next to each other, and when the cream background is used in this border, a beautiful harmony is created in the carpet. he does.
He added: “Perhaps one of the reasons for the popularity and attention of this carpet among buyers is this feature that gives comfort to any viewer, and this is a reason for the artistic taste of the people of this region.”
Bahadori described the type of Esfahdah Gol-e-Sorkh carpet as a Persian knot and said: “This knot was also known as Afshari knot because there is a part of Afshar tribe in this area and this knot was adapted from Afshar weavers.”
Esfandeghi carpet weaver said: “The biggest problem of Esfandeh Reds is the lack of insurance, which we hope will be solved with the support of the officials.”
