Gilan rice production increased by 5%
The head of the Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization said: This year, the amount of rice production in Gilan has increased by 5%.
Alireza Shabannejad, stating that the situation of rice in Gilan is very good, said: According to studies conducted by Jihad-e-Agriculture experts in the center and cities of Gilan, the production volume of this product has increased by 5%.
He added: The whispers of reducing the production of this product are an excuse for the rice mafia to open the gates of importing foreign rice.
The head of Gilan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization, pointing out that Gilan has 238,000 hectares of paddy lands, noted: So far, rice has been harvested in 50,000 hectares of paddy fields in the province.
He pointed out that the mechanized production of rice reduces the cost of this product, he continued: 26,000 hectares of these paddy fields have been harvested by machine.
بانShabannejad asked the paddy farmers to make the most of the favorable weather in Gilan these days to harvest rice.
The head of the Gilan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization also advised the paddy farmers who harvest their crops with a combine, while aerating the paddy, to transfer it to the paddy mills at the earliest opportunity and turn it into rice.
He noted: Farmers should not worry about fluctuations in rice prices, because with the permission of the Minister of Jihad for Agriculture and credit, if the rice market fluctuates sharply, Jihad Keshavarzi will buy their rice at an agreed price.
