Export of 769 tons of Shiraz handmade carpets in Iran
Ali Hemmati, head of the Shiraz Industry and Mining Organization, said at the closing ceremony of the 11th Handmade Carpet Olympiad: In the last 10 months of last year, 325 tons of Shiraz handmade carpets worth $ 25 million have been exported, which is 769 tons of carpets worth $ 51 million. The dollar rose 58 percent in weight and 51 percent in value.
Hemmati added: Ethan Shiraz inaugurated 55 industrial, production and service projects with an investment of 371 billion Tomans and job creation for 1454 people simultaneously with the Fajr decade, but 17% of the country’s handmade carpets are exported from Shiraz.
The head of Shiraz Industry and Mining Organization continued: Shiraz is one of the leading provinces in the country by providing 543 billion Tomans of facilities to production units.
