Beginning of rice transplanting in Qazvin paddy fields
The expert in charge of oilseeds of the Jihad Agricultural Organization of Qazvin province said: rice planting has started in more than 3,650 hectares of paddy fields in this province.
Touraj Bonyadi predicted: more than 16,000 tons of paddy with a yield of 4300 kg will be harvested from the paddy fields of the province.
He added: Considering the development of rice mechanization in the province and its role in reducing production costs, increasing productivity and increasing yield, and finally reducing the difficulty of work and saving time, more than 2,500 hectares of land in the province are fully mechanized. Four rows are planted by seedlings.
He mentioned the rice working areas of the province as Moallem Kalayeh, Rajai Dasht, Razmian and Tarom Sofla.
Hashemi, Ali Kazemi, Tarom and Hassan Sara mentioned the main cultivars of this crop in the province.
The official said: this year, due to the activity of a 30-hectare transplant bank unit, more than 10,000 seedling boxes (transplant trays) were prepared by this mechanized unit and presented to farmers in the region.
