Beginning of harvesting ruby grapes from Gachsaran vineyards
Ataullah Mahdipour stated: Ruby grape is one of the main products that is suitable for planting in this city due to its high tolerance of harsh environmental conditions.
He added: Gachsaran is one of the tropical cities which, despite the high temperature, has good conditions and good talent for planting various agricultural products and is one of the important agricultural hubs of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad.
The head of Gachsaran Agricultural Jihad, referring to the beginning of the harvest of ruby grapes from the vineyards of this city, said: This type of grape is one of the earliest garden products in Gachsaran.
Mahdipour stated: Ruby grape is a seedless grape that is consumed fresh and has a suitable market for sale.
He continued: Due to the early availability of this product, it has a special place in domestic markets.
Mahdipour pointed out: Ruby grapes will be marketed in Gachsaran in early June and will give a good added value to gardeners.
Referring to the area under cultivation of ruby grapes in Gachsaran, he said: So far, four hectares of orchards in this city have been fertilized.
The head of Gachsaran Agricultural Jihad stated that the yield of this amount is about seven thousand kilos per hectare and added: its average price is 50 thousand Rials per kilogram.
Mahdipour reminded: if proper care and nutrition, irrigation and timely control of pests, including surface blight, the yield of this product will reach more than 10 thousand kg.
