The director of horticulture of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization announced
the beginning of grape harvest in the province.

Ebrahim Shirani stated:
About 4800 hectares of the province’s orchards are dedicated to the area under grape cultivation,
of which 144 hectares are seedlings and the rest are fertile.

Shirani stated:
From this fertile level of vineyards in the province, about 59,500 tons of grapes are produced with an average yield of 12.7 tons.

He stated that the largest area under grape cultivation in Kiar city with an area of ​​1550 hectares, noted:
The predominant grape cultivar in the province is Sahebi, seedless,
Qazvin and ruby ​​cultivars, of which nearly 50% of the production is fresh food consumption in the province
and The rest is exported outside the province and is used to produce juice, grape juice and juice.
