All about Enjilas carpet in Iran
Enjilas carpet is a light rural carpet woven in the Enjilas region of Hamadan province in western Iran. In this carpet, symmetrical knots with cotton threads and woolen lint have been used. Eyebrows, tangled fish and tortoiseshell are common and red designs of Ronasi, blue, navy blue and white are common colors of Enjilas rugs.
All the products of the suburbs of Hamedan, which are mostly small two-dimensional carpets and two-and-a-half-year-old and back-to-back carpets with a width of 75 to 104 cm and a length of 3 or 4 cubits with relatively high counts (25 veins per node), are identified as Enjilas. Enjilas rugs have always been considered one of the best products in the region, and now these rugs are ahead of other regions in terms of design and materials. The role of Herati is one of the designs that has often been considered in the fields, often red and dark blue, without the central medallion of very small wings, especially in two-dimensional sizes.
