All about Azgil

Azgil (scientific name: Mespilus germanica), which in the Gilaki language is called Conus, Canos, and in the Mazandarian language, Canes and Condes, is the name of a tree and a fruit from the flowering family of the genus Azgil (genus), together with the family of apples, Pear, to, hawthorn and wild pear.
Azgil fruit is very acidic and can not be eaten until it is well ripened. Azgil’s meat changes from white to brown and becomes quite soft and sweet, and people call it the Gilan date.
