The first shipment of 200000 packages of barberry to Germany
The head of the South Khorasan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture said: The first shipment containing 200,000 packages of 150 grams of barberry will soon be exported to Germany.
According to the public relations office of the National Elite Foundation of South Khorasan, Mohsen Ehtesham, in a meeting with the Secretary of the National Coordination Center for Barberry and Jujube Knowledge and Industry with foreign investors, stated the future plans of the association and domestic traders in processing and exporting barberry products. 200,000 packages of 150 grams of barberry will be exported to Germany in the near future, which promises a fundamental change in the economy of this product.
Seyyed Saeed Reza Ahmadizadeh, Secretary of the National Coordination Center for Barberry and Jujube Science and Industry of South Khorasan, also stated: The Barberry and Jujube Center is one of the sub-centers of the Vice President for Science and Technology and the government supports these centers.
He pointed out that the Vice President for Science and Technology has special support for the promotion of barberry-related technologies, adding: Barberry policy and the creation of high technologies for its processing are among the main policies of this center.
Ahmadizadeh continued: A prominent scientific group is researching the types of barberry processing and its properties, the results of which can play a valuable role in expanding the sales of this product.
The Secretary of the National Coordination Center for Barberry and Jujube Science and Industry of South Khorasan welcomed the presence of the German investor and said: We will provide all the favorable conditions for concluding a contract with him so that farmers in the province can benefit from the high added value of this product and European customers from quality food products. The German investor also expressed his satisfaction with his presence in South Khorasan and the extraordinary capacities of this province for investing in the field of barberry and its various products, and called for the center’s efforts to obtain international certificates and organic declaration of barberry cultivated lands in the province.
