The head of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts of Kashmar city said: Fortunately, many handicrafts of Kashmar have been directly and indirectly entered the markets of the Persian Gulf.

Reza Yousefi, in a meeting with tourism activists held at the Danesh Historical House, added: Currently, 5 travel services offices are operating with the permission of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts.

He stated that currently 8 ecotourism resorts in Kashmar and Kuhsorkh have been licensed: The first ecotourism resort in Esfand 96 region in Kuhsorkh has started its activities.

The head of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts of Kashmar city stated: Priority and sustainable development of Kuh-e-Sorkh, considering its potentials, should be based on tourism and services industry, instead of being based on polluting industries.

He said: While the first non-governmental organization was launched in Kashmar last year, we also received three initial agreements in the field of ecotourism resorts, which are being pursued.

Yousefi said that Kashmir has a very high capacity in the field of tourism, although many festivals have been held during this period, and due to the spread of the coronavirus, many programs have been sidelined.

He said: Paying attention to tourism and handicrafts can have a very high employment rate. Currently, there are 157 handicrafts, three large workshops and 180 individual workshops.

The head of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts of Kashmar city, pointing out that now 1200 people are active in the field of handicrafts, said: During this period, Kashmar handicrafts goods entered the Persian Gulf markets directly and indirectly, as well as 4 handicraft products. Including fur weaving and Kashmir leather became the official brand.

He stated: Considering that the training of human resources is one of the most important issues, in this regard, during the years 1398 and 1397, we held a course of commercialization, manufacturing and packaging of handicrafts in the city.

In this meeting, the director of one of the Kashmir travel agencies said: Corona and unbridled inflation are facing serious problems in the field of tourism and are destroying the field of tourism.

Reza Shariati added: Unfortunately, domestic airlines have canceled their trips after more than 6 months due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, but they have not yet returned our money, and when we call, they announce that there is no money to pay.

He said: As far as tourism is concerned, no other job has been affected and the tourism industry is practically disappearing.

Ahmad Khalili, a tourism activist, said: Kashmir suffers from the lack of an airport for the arrival and presence of tourists in the region. On the other hand, we face many problems and restrictions in bringing foreign tourists.

He said: Although we have many tourist attractions in Kashmar and Kuh-e-Sorkh, but we are facing a lack of museums, each city in the Tarshiz region can have a unique museum.

Khalili pointed out that other anthropological museums are no longer responsible and we should try to create a museum from a new perspective that is not in other places, he said: If we want to introduce the city of Kashmir well, we must run Fam Tour.

He said: Although tourists come to Tabas city, but because we did not define the tourism route for them, they return from the same city. Although religious minorities and other religions play a great role in tourism, we have neglected this opportunity in the region.
