Cheshmeh Ali dates back to about 8000 years ago. This spring in Iran is one of the ancient, spectacular and entertaining places of Rey city, which is located in the south of Tehran and north of Rey city, region 20 of Tehran municipality. This spring is located in the neighborhood of Ibn Babavieh, Tughral Tower, Rashkan Fortress and under Rey Barrow.
Cheshmeh Ali flows out of a large rock and flows south and then southeast. The ancient name of this spring was Surini, which is probably attributed to a large dynasty during the Parthian and Sassanid periods. Later, he became known as Imam Ali (AS) as Cheshmeh Ali. In the past, carpet sellers and the people of Tehran washed their carpets and rugs in the water of Cheshmeh Ali, believing that the water in this spring is a property that cleans the carpet well and makes the color brighter and more vibrant.
This hill is undoubtedly one of the oldest ancient monuments in the city of Rey, and when you visit it, you will realize the establishment of a thousand-year-old civilization in the place of Cheshmeh Ali. The location of this low mountain spring is at the western end of Bibi Shahrbanoo mountain range, from the southern slope of which a water spring springs.
Freshly washed carpets have long been placed in the sun to dry.
