All about Ahar carpet in Iran
Ahar carpet is a type of Iranian carpet that is produced in Ahar. Nine examples of carpet designs are produced in the villages of Ahar, which are: Khoniiq (Oshdastak, Tajri), Cheshmehuzan (Cheshmehuzan), Ghorchikandi (Ghorchi), Haj Abedin Farm (Balighli, Tajri), Kaghalq (Samadi, Tajri) and Koleh village. Rural weavers usually do the weaving of the carpet in a memorized way without the use of a map.
In this carpet, symmetrical knots are used with cotton thread and woolen lint. Lacquer, bergamot and geometry are common and red, earthy, blue, navy blue designs of the common colors of Ahar carpet.
