1. Highlights are divided into four types:
A) Relief: It is a relief that does not protrude from the background surface of the work and is level with the margin next to the frame.
B) Baroliev: A prominent role that has come above the field of work.
C) Orelif: The prominences increase and the procedure completely comes out.
D) Sculpture: If all the reliefs have come out of the work surface and in fact the work has no background and is completely out.
2. Engraving: Engraving means digging so that the role is lower than the background, ie it is hollowed out in the design, like writing on a piece of tombstone (carving on a stone is called carving). In this method, carving is flat, triangular. Or a line is made. This method of carving is rarely done in Iran. Explain that the larger and larger the design, the better the embossing and the greater the distance from the background. Today, the designs used in inlays include: faces, flowers and chickens, Islamic, flowers and leaves and buds, claws, shells, writings, animal and bird bodies, etc.
