70% of Kashmir grapes turn into green raisins
The director of Kashmar Agricultural Jihad announced that 70 Kashmir grapes have been turned into green raisins.
Engineer Swabi, stating that 30% of the city’s grapes are eaten fresh and are being supplied to domestic and foreign markets, said:
the rest will be processed and ready to be supplied to domestic and export markets.
He added:
Considering the appropriate rainfall in the current crop year and the observance of the principles of nutrition and irrigation by gardeners,
it is predicted that 85,000 tons of grapes will be produced in this city this year.
Pointing out that Kashmir grapes will be harvested from 3300 hectares, he said:
With the favorable conditions provided for gardeners this year, the average production per unit area is expected to reach 26 tons per hectare.
