300 handicraft workshops were identified in Kerman
The Deputy Head of Handicrafts of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kerman Province announced the identification of 300 new handicraft workshops in the province.
Kazem Hosseinzadeh, pointing out that handicraft workshops operate individually, added: These workshops, which are located in deprived areas of Kerman province, are active in local fields such as mat weaving, cis weaving, kilim weaving, etc.
The head of the handicrafts department of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kerman province stated: The artists who are working in these new workshops will soon be covered by insurance and facilities.
He stated that the license for 400 individual handicraft workshops has also been extended, noting that Kerman province has 70,000 artists and craftsmen in 64 fields of handicrafts, most of whom work at home.
